Tools of the trade

For the past four months we have been renovating our house, virtually sharing it with teams of tilers, masons plumbers, carpenters and electricians. Their arsenal of tools – of which these are but a few – is fascinating. I edited this iPhone 5 shot with Painteresque and Snapseed to bring out the textures in the wood and metal tools.

Mining the past

The Telluride area is full of remnants of its historic mining heritage. I came across this structure, which I believe was used to load ore onto railroad trucks, while biking one of the stunning trails in the San Juan Mountains. I used Vintage FX HD to give the image an old-style photo look.
